10 Easy Steps To Cut Perfect Side Swept Bangs At Home

How do you know that you are looking good in side swept bangs? Study your face shape. Technically, every face shape can look good with bangs, but you gotta find the right style of bangs that fit you. Below I am presenting you a step by step guide to get most perfect side swept bangs.

Steps To Get Side Swept Bangs:

    #01

Comb your crown area back as so can push back the rest of your hairs into a ponytail. So, its out of the way. Now, comb your bangs in front of your face and with a pin tail comb on the highest tip of your eyebrows.

    #02

Line it up and evenly part your bangs. Repeat it to the other side. It does not have to line perfectly. This is just help to guide where your bangs should start and ends.

    #03

Grab your hairs in front and line the top part to keep them straight and even as well.

    #04

Next, tie into a higher ponytail so the hairs we just sectioned off would not fall back down. The width should only be 1-2 inches. You could make your bangs thicker though. It all really depends on your style.

    #05

Comb your bangs again. Grab and then flip it over. With other hand keep it in place. The reason why did you twist it first because most of us are right handed. Or to fall starting from the left side of face. Twisting it will allow your right hand comfortably cut down towards rather than having to swing your arm all the way across. And cut at a weird angle that has made you mess up before. So, twisting it solves everything.

Again grab, twist and hold. Comb the bottom section out and now we are going to be cutting it diagonally downwards. With professional hair scissors, start cutting gradually only half an inch of any downward motion to the ground. Cutting your own hairs can sometimes be nerve wracking. This is why you only want to cut off little at a time.

    #07

Repeat again. Trimming very little at a time will save you from the nightmare of cutting your bangs too short. You also want to open and close the scissors constantly. Instead of one fast big cut across, little cuts are better – remember that.

Now, let it go and comb it out evenly then divide in half and with the shorter section, start cutting up wards gradually down to create texture. So that your bangs look too freshly cut and we will have some edge to it.

    #09

Next, grab and comb all your bangs together and repeat only to the end cutting upwards. Take your time and be patient at it and I promise you wont mess up.

Finally, bump up your bangs, curve them in and spraying them in place with white sand. And there you have it. Your side swept bangs should look like this after cutting. This is the perfect length for styling.

Pro Tip: DO NOT cut your bangs while wet. Because wet hairs are longer and when you dry them, they shrink up. And you will left off with a cut that is way too short. So, cutting them dry is best bet.
