Eyebrows are perhaps the most underrated part of our face. But what we don’t know is the fact they can make or break our entire look. Change them a little bit and they will certainly affect the whole look of your face. It is very important for you to know the perfect eyebrow shape that will suit your face as well as knowing how to properly care and maintain them. Here’s a lowdown on how you can take proper care of your eyebrows without having to worry at all.
Know what shape suits you best and for that you will need to visit an expert beautician or a good salon for getting your eyebrows shaped. You might have to spend some extra money, but it will totally be worth it!
Visit the salon every three to four weeks for maintenance of the perfect eyebrow shape you acquired with so much pain. Do not agree on being attended by the least experienced beautician at the salon. Since you are paying, you call the shots here.
Locate your arch and tweeze your eyebrows accordingly if you can’t or don’t have time to see an expert beautician. Look at your face straight in the mirror and locate the highest point of your eyebrow, then tweeze exactly underneath the point.
To give the illusion of a thinner face, try and maintain a straight eyebrow shape. Overly arched eyebrows create a puffy eyelid illusion, so be mindful of that.
HOW TO MAINTAIN GOOD EYEBROW SHAPE
1. PETROLEUM JELLY
If you think your eyebrow hair doesn’t stay in place, dab the tiniest bit of petroleum jelly onto them. Vaseline/petroleum jelly also makes them look a bit thicker.
2. OLIVE OIL
Rub virgin olive oil on your eyebrows at night to keep them looking good and soft.
3. BABY OIL
Once a week, don’t forget to lubricate your eyebrows. You can do this by applying baby oil on them in an upward motion and massaging the entire length of your eyebrows. This is an ideal way to condition your eyebrows and give them a healthy look.
4. EYE PENCIL
If you have sparse eyebrows, you can always use an eye pencil. However, never use harsh black tones for your eyebrows. Instead, keep it 2-3 tones lighter than the color of your hair.
5. WHAT ELSE?
Do not opt for the eyebrow shape you saw a model or a female celebrity sporting on the television. Always remember to settle down for the one that suits your face best.
